The 10-year problem

For a decade our founder sold one-off custom buyback websites to small resellers — $897, $1,997, sometimes $2,997 each. The launch went great. Six months later the same conversation kept happening: “our prices are stale, we’re losing money on every device we buy.”

The hidden cost wasn’t the website. It was the spreadsheet behind it. Wholesale phone prices move every week. Maintaining a 500-row sheet with carrier locks, storage tiers, and grade conditions is nobody’s idea of a business. So the operator either over-pays (and bleeds margin) or under-pays (and the seller walks). The website slowly stops working.

WerOrg is the answer we kept wishing we’d built. One team curates wholesale prices weekly. Every operator on the platform inherits them automatically. You set a payout ratio — the offer is computed for you, in your currency, with your branding, on your domain.

Who we’re for

Independent mobile-phone resellers in the US, Canada, UK, EU, Australia, and South Africa. Solo operators, family shops, growing chains. Anyone whose competition is Gazelle, BackMarket, or the carrier trade-in — and who needs a real storefront, not a Google Form.

Not for: hobbyists doing one-off arbitrage, big consumer brands wanting their own trade-in (we don’t do enterprise), or anyone looking for an automated fraud-detection silver bullet (encrypted IMEI vault and a tenant ban list ship today; stolen-device database lookup is a v2 feature).

What we believe

  • Curation taste beats pricing-API magic. Ten years of looking at the same SKUs is the moat. A real human picks the price every week.
  • Operators run their own businesses. We don’t set your margin. We don’t take a cut of the buyback. We charge a flat monthly subscription and stay out of the way.
  • Privacy is not optional. IMEIs are encrypted at rest, payout details are encrypted at rest, every reveal is audit-logged, and everything is auto-purged after 12 months. The same way we’d want our own data handled.
  • Boring is good. The dashboard is a list of forms. The funnel is three pages. The themes are picked, not generated. Less surface area means fewer bugs and fewer surprises.
