Guides and answers for running your buyback site on WerOrg. Use Cmd/Ctrl-F to search this page.

Getting started

Everything you need to launch your branded buyback site.

How long does it take to launch?

Most operators are live in 10–20 minutes. The signup wizard collects your shop details, you pick a theme, set up shipping, and your branded subdomain (yourshop.wer.org) goes live immediately.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. The dashboard is fully no-code: branding, theme selection, payment options, and pricing rules are all configured through forms. Custom domains and tracking scripts are point-and-click.

What happens during the 14-day trial?

Full access to every feature on the plan you picked. Your card is on file but is not charged until day 15. Cancel anytime from your dashboard — no calls or emails needed.

When do I get redirected back to setup?

On your first login after signup, you must fill in your shop address before reaching the rest of the dashboard. After that, everything is optional but encouraged — especially the EasyPost integration before going live.

Account & billing

Plans, payments, cancellation, and team access.

How do I change my plan?

Go to Dashboard → Billing → "Manage subscription". You'll be sent to the Stripe Customer Portal where you can switch tiers, update your card, or cancel. Plan changes take effect immediately.

How do I cancel?

Same place — Dashboard → Billing → "Manage subscription" → Cancel. You keep access until the end of the current billing period. No retention calls.

How do I change my account email?

Dashboard → Account → Email → enter the new email and save. We'll send a confirmation link to the new address; clicking it completes the change. Your funnel keeps working during the transition.

Can I add team members?

Multi-user access is on the roadmap but not available yet. Today, one tenant = one operator account. Reach out at [email protected] if this is blocking you.

Your storefront

Branding, domains, themes, and visitor tracking.

How do I set up a custom domain?

Dashboard → Settings → Custom domain (Pro / Unlimited only). Enter your domain like trade.yourshop.com, save, and add the A record to your DNS provider as instructed. We auto-issue an SSL certificate via Approximated.app — usually 5–10 minutes after DNS propagates.

Which themes are available?

Three: Clarity (editorial calm, paper-white, brand-accent serif wordmark), Convert (high-conversion red, promo bar, beat-any-offer guarantee), and Fleet (B2B / IT Asset Disposition with compliance bar, audience toggle, PDF quotes). Switch any time in Dashboard → Branding. All themes use the same logo / primary color / hero copy you configure.

How do I add Google Analytics or Meta Pixel?

Dashboard → Settings → Tracking & feed → "Header script". Paste the full snippet (including <script> tags). It runs in your sellers' browsers on your storefront pages — never on the WerOrg admin or other tenants. 32 KB max.

How do I change the storefront currency?

Dashboard → Settings → Localization. Pick your country or "Other" with a custom symbol (₹, kr, etc.). Preset currencies (USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, AUD, ZAR) are auto-converted from the daily exchange rate. "Other" mode keeps prices in USD with your symbol.

Pricing & payouts

How offers are calculated and how sellers get paid.

Where do device prices come from?

WerOrg maintains a central catalog of ~500+ devices with weekly-refreshed wholesale prices. You set a payout ratio (default 70% of wholesale) — the offer your seller sees is wholesale × your ratio. Override per-category / brand / model in Dashboard → Payouts.

Can I override the price for a specific device?

Yes — Dashboard → Payouts → Add override → pick "Model" scope and the device. The override ratio replaces the default for just that model. You can also override at brand or category level.

How do I configure payout methods?

Dashboard → Settings → Payment options. Add PayPal, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, ACH, mailed check, etc. Each option appears on the seller-facing checkout. Sellers pick one + provide their handle (PayPal email, ACH routing, etc.).

When do I pay sellers?

WerOrg doesn't handle disbursement directly — you do, via the payout method the seller picked. Once you've received the device and verified its condition, send payment manually. The lead status flow (new → received → paid) helps you track which sellers are owed.

Shipping & fulfillment

Receiving devices from sellers.

How does shipping work?

Sellers pick "Ship it" at checkout. We generate a prepaid label via EasyPost in your account — they print, tape it to the package, and drop it at any carrier location. The label appears in their confirmation email and on the receipt page.

Why isn't my shipping label generating?

Most likely you haven't added your EasyPost API key yet. Dashboard → Settings → Shipping (EasyPost) → follow the 5-step setup. Use a production key (starts with EZAK) for real labels; EZTK keys produce non-shippable test PDFs.

Can sellers drop off devices instead?

Yes. Dashboard → Settings → Fulfillment options → enable "Drop off" (requires a complete shop address). Sellers see drop-off as a checkout option and the receipt shows your shop's address.

What if I want to pick devices up myself?

Enable "Pickup" in Dashboard → Settings → Fulfillment options. Sellers leave their address; you arrange a pickup time out of band (call/email).

Customers, leads & data

Working with the data WerOrg captures.

Where do I see the orders my sellers placed?

Dashboard → Leads. One row per device offered. Click any row to see condition, payout details, IMEI (click-to-reveal), and shipping status.

How do I see all my customers?

Dashboard → Customers. Aggregated by email — order count, lifetime value, last order date. Click "Download CSV" for a full export.

How do I export pricing for SellCell / SellMyMobile / other aggregators?

Dashboard → Settings → Tracking & feed → scroll to "Pricing feed". Two URLs are exposed: feed.json and feed.xml. Submit either to your aggregator; both contain every (device × condition) combination with your offer price and a deep link to the seller funnel. Updates automatically when you change prices.

How are IMEIs stored?

IMEIs are encrypted at rest using pgcrypto. Plaintext only exists during the seller's submission and your one-click reveal — every reveal writes an audit_event row. After 12 months, IMEIs are auto-purged.

Troubleshooting

Common issues and how to fix them.

My funnel returns "untrusted edge" 403.

This means the request hit DigitalOcean directly without transiting our trusted edge. Wildcard subdomains (yourshop.wer.org) work direct via DO; custom domains must go through Approximated. Check Dashboard → Settings → Custom domain for the verification status.

I added a custom domain but it shows "DNS pending".

DNS propagation takes 5–30 minutes. Confirm you've added the exact A record shown in Settings → Custom domain. Run `dig yourdomain.com A` from a terminal to verify it returns our IP. After propagation, click "Refresh status".

My seller email isn't arriving.

Check spam first. If still missing, Dashboard → Settings → Outgoing email — confirm your Resend key and verified sender domain. Without your own setup, emails default to [email protected] which has decent deliverability but isn't branded.

I'm hitting my plan's monthly lead cap.

Upgrade in Dashboard → Billing. Existing leads still come in this month — we don't hard-block — but the dashboard shows a red banner once you exceed the cap.

Still stuck?

How do I reach a human?

Email [email protected] with your tenant slug + a screenshot or DO runtime log line. Response within one business day.
